Ambassadors for the Wild Orangutans

Animal behaviour is a fascinating topic!

Orangutans are critically endangered and although I dislike showing videos of animals in captivity, I decided to post this video. The video shows research from The Max Planck Institute for Evolutionary Anthropology.

Do orangutans use their children as tools to get grapes and tools?

As you probably are aware of the palm oil industry is destroying the forest that orangutangs inhabit. Here is a link to  WWF  about products that contains palm oil. A problem for consumers is that many products are not clearly labelled so it is tricky indeed to know if the products contains palm oil.

This video is from Think Elephants International, which has a great selection of interesting videos. The series called “Oh, Behave!”  is designed to connect the viewer with cool research about animal behavior.
